Pet killed in early morning southwest Charlotte house fire: CFD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A pet has died after an early morning house fire in southwest Charlotte, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

Around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, crews responded to the 13000 block of Duckett Court for a house fire.

It took 20 minutes for 30 firefighters to control the blaze, officials said. No one was injured, but a pet was killed.

Investigators determined this was an accidental fire with an estimated $30,000 in damages.
