According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday, March 28, students from Palisades High School were waiting at a bus stop located on West Arrowood Road near South Tryon Street, when a man wearing a ski mask approached the students and fired shots, causing immediate panic among the students.

“Upon an initial investigation, detectives believe that the shooting was targeted and there does not appear to be any threat to the public,” CMPD said on Thursday.
