Person suffers 'life-changing injuries' in crash

A car passenger has "potentially life-changing" injuries after a crash in Plymouth.

Devon and Cornwall Police said it was called to the A386 Tavistock Road at about 13:40 on Wednesday to reports of a crash near the Derriford roundabout involving a silver Honda Jazz and grey Ford Fiesta Zetec.

The force said a passenger from one of the cars was taken to Derriford Hospital with serious injuries which are believed to be potentially life-changing.

Police added a woman in her 20s from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and failing to provide a blood specimen..

Officers have asked anyone with information about the crash to contact them.
