Person struck by Metro train outside Stadium-Armory

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Metro Transit Police (MTPD) said it’s investigating after a man was struck by a train outside Stadium-Armory on Monday night.

MTPD said it’s investigating the death of a person who was trespassing and was subsequently struck by a train shortly after 11:00 p.m.

Police said the individual was exhibiting abnormal behavior and briefly left the train through the doors before disappearing from view.

MTPD said this is not believed to be a typical train surfing incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
