Person dead, another hurt after gas station crash in west Charlotte

One person died and another is hurt after a crash at a gas station in west Charlotte, police told Channel 9.

Officers told Channel 9 a person who was pumping gas was struck by the car just before 8 p.m. Saturday.

The person driving the car has died. MEDIC said they transported one person with life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound, and the police report says they took their own life.

The person hit by the car was hospitalized but is expected to be okay.
