Person seen on fire in Oakland now in stable condition

(KRON) — A person is now in stable condition after they were reported to be on fire in Oakland on Tuesday afternoon, the Oakland Police Department said.

OPD responded to the area of 45th Avenue and Boyd Street just after 1:45 p.m. for the report of a person on fire. Officers found the victim at the scene and an ambulance took them to a hospital.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the victim’s condition was described as critical but stable, police said.

Officers searched the area for witnesses and surveillance video. OPD declined to provide more details.
