New person of interest in case of man fatally shot, dumped on I-55

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — There is a new person of interest in a case from last year where a man was shot and killed in Memphis before being dumped on the side of Interstate 55.

The victim was identified as Magdiel Robleto.

ORIGINAL STORY: Body found on I-55 in Desoto County

Robleto was last seen leaving 3547 Macon Road in Nutbush on October 27, 2023. His family reported him missing when he did not return home.

Reports state that he was last seen with at least two other men.

On October 29, around 9:20 a.m., officers said they found Robleto’s body in Desoto County, Mississippi on I-55. He was shot multiple times in the head.

Police recently released the following photo of an unknown male who was reportedly with Robleto when he left Memphis and drove to Mississippi.

MPD previously arrested and charged 18-year-old Olman Raudales with first-degree murder and tampering with/fabricating evidence.

Homicide investigators say that Raudales gave a statement admitting to being with Robleto in his Honda Civic. He said that he and Robleto were trying to sell two guns to an unknown man.

Raudales said that is when the unknown man shot Robleto in the back of the head from the rear seat of the car. According to reports, Raudales also admitted to cleaning the blood and body fluids out of his car.

Raudales is being held on a $500,000 bond.
