Employee assaulted by two women in Oakland laundromat

(KRON) — An assault occurred in an Oakland laundromat after a person’s belongings were stolen, according to the Oakland Police Department.

Oakland police officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Park Boulevard report of a battery around 8 p.m. on March 16.

Responding officers contacted the person who committed the battery. Police said the individual informed officers that their personal belongings were missing from the business. The person asked the victim to review the surveillance video. When the victim refused, the individual pushed the victim down, police said.

Police said the victim corroborated the majority of the person’s story with the discrepancy of the victim sharing that there were two individuals physically assaulted them.

Medical personnel provided medical treatment to the victim. The responsible individual was cited and released.
