TAZEWELL, VA (WVNS) — A person was arrested after a traffic stop in Tazewell County ended in the discovery of drugs.

While on patrol on April 28, 2024, Officer Ruble with the Tazewell Police Department held a traffic stop on Tazewell Avenue after seeing a car commit a moving violation.

Two suspects airlifted after Summers County car chase

The driver was found to be wanted in Tazewell County, and an investigation revealed that there were drugs in plain sight on the driver side floor board, as well as drug paraphernalia.

The person was taken to Tazewell Regional Jail and held without bond.
