Permit-free chicken ownership up for discussion in Lockport
LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Wednesday night in Lockport, a public hearing on the ownership of chickens is set to take place.
Typically, the Lockport Common Council meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. This particular night, residents will have the opportunity to voice their opinions on a potential zoning code change.
The proposed revision up for discussion would allow six chickens to be kept by single-family homeowners without a special use permit.
The public hearing will begin at City Hall at 6 p.m.
