People spent millions during Denver Restaurant Week

DENVER (KDVR) – Denver Restaurant Week is a spring tradition held every year where hundreds of local restaurants serve up a fixed menu with some of its top sellers and featured foods – and this year, customers around the Denver metro didn’t hold back.

During Denver Restaurant Week, the menus range from $25 to $55 with anything from relaxed pub-style food to deluxe steakhouses on the list.

Here’s how much people spent

When the dedicated week started in 2005, it was made to help out restaurants during the slow season, said VISIT DENVER. During the very first Denver Restaurant Week, 86 restaurants joined in.

This year, the number of restaurants more than doubled, giving hundreds of restaurants a portion of millions of dollars.

One month after the 20th annual Denver Restaurant Week, VISIT DENVER tallied the numbers based on responses to a survey sent to participating restaurants after this year’s program.

This year, 263 restaurants participated in the 10-day deal, the highest number of establishments since 2015 and 36 higher than last year.

In total, restaurants reported 144,650 meals sold, which resulted in almost $10.5 million in sales in just 10 days.

VISIT DENVER said this is the biggest year since the pandemic and one of the strongest years in Denver Restaurant Week’s history.
