Telepathy - where people can read each other’s minds, or ‘talk’ without making a sound - could be about to become reality.
Two wealthy Americans are currently looking for black-market brain implants with the goal of becoming ‘linked’ by electronics.
That’s according to Zoltan Istvan, a technology advocate and ‘transhumanist’, who is running for President in America.
The 42-year-old ‘Transhumanist’ hopes for a day - soon - when man and machine will combine to let humans cheat death.
Istvan claims that the pair are shopping for implants which ‘read’ the brain in a similar fashion to an EEG (electroencephalogram) - and transmit the data to the other person’s implant.
Istvan claims that one of the pair - who he refuses to name - is talking to a doctor in Honduras, while the other is talking to doctors in Eastern Europe.
Istvan said, ‘If a machine creates this input, then true communication with a machine - or AI -in this case has been created.’
'Eventually, this type of technology will allow us to be connected 24/7 to the internet and on social media.
'This is the beginning of the hive mind, where everyone is interconnected to one another.’
