Pensacola man arrested after deputies find 44.5 grams of fentanyl, other drugs in home: ECSO

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pensacola man was arrested Thursday after deputies found drugs inside his home, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

An ECSO Facebook post said deputies with the Narcotics Unit and SWAT Team served a search warrant at a home on the 8600 block of Gardenia Circle.

Deputies found $952 in cash, 44.5 grams of fentanyl, 64.5 grams of methamphetamine, 82.5 grams of marijuana, a handgun and a stolen 16ft enclosed trailer, according to the post.

53-year-old Christopher Todd Benton was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with intent to sell/distribute, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, the post said.
