Pensacola to install sidewalks near O.J. Semmes Elementary School, Park

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Sidewalks are being installed near O.J. Semmes Elementary School and Semmes Park, according to a press release from the City of Pensacola.

The installation, which was scheduled to begin on Monday, April 22, will add sidewalks going from Cortez Drive to the southern side of 34th Street and end at 12th Avenue.

According to the release, the project is in place to “improve neighborhood connectivity and enhance safety through dedicated pedestrian routes to the school, park and nearby homes.”

City officials said the project will be completed by late June if weather permits.
