Pensacola High School student arrested after allegedly fighting

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A high school student is in custody after they allegedly started a fight with a school official, according to the Pensacola Police Department.

The police department said the 17-year-old student began fighting with police officers after they attempted to break up the fight.

PPD said the school was locked down for a short period.

The student is charged with disrupting a school function, battery on a school official, two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest, according to a Pensacola Police Department spokesperson.

The police department also said there were no serious injuries.
