Pensacola driver, passenger sustain ‘severe, possibly critical injuries’ after crash: FHP

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Two people sustained “severe, possibly critical injuries” early Sunday morning after their car crashed into a crosswalk sign, fencing and other property, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers responded to SR-292/ SR-752 on Sunday, April 21, after receiving reports of a 2:09 a.m. crash, a release from FHP said.

Crash reports indicate that a Chevy Tahoe was traveling east on State Road 295 when the driver failed to make a left turn near the intersection with State Road 752. The Tahoe traveled into the shoulder where it struck an electronic crosswalk sign, fencing, and other property before overturning in the shoulder, according to the release

Both occupants, a 32-year-old woman driver and a 41-year-old man passenger from Pensacola, sustained “severe, possibly critical injuries,” the release said.
