Pensacola Beach Lifeguards to begin service at Perdido Key Access points

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Beachgoers at Perdido Key will have some safeguarding as lifeguards are set to begin service in guarding the public access points.

According to a press release, Pensacola Beach lifeguards will be stationed at the access points of Perdido Key starting today Thursday, May 23, at 10 a.m.

Here is the schedule for lifeguards at access points, according to the release:

  • Lifeguards will be stationed at Access #2 from May 23-Aug. 11, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Throughout the day, a lifeguard will travel to access points #1,#3, and #4 to monitor the water and make contact with beach patrons

“Perdido Key patrons are encouraged to stay near the lifeguards while on the beach, especially in the most populated areas,” the release advised. “Residents and visitors are urged to exercise caution when visiting the beach and swimming in the Gulf, especially when lifeguards are not present.”
