Pennsylvania teen killed in one-vehicle collision

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Pennsylvania teen was killed and a 20-year-old Pennsylvania man was injured following a one-vehicle collision in the Town of Harmony on Monday.

Monday, at approximately 4 p.m., New York State Police said troopers out of Jamestown responded to the scene on Panama Steadman Road for a one-vehicle collision. Following an investigation, troopers said, it was determined that a 2011 Hyundai was traveling north on Panama Steadman Road, exited the roadway and struck multiple trees.

The passenger of the vehicle, 18-year-old Abdulnaser O. Al Hamwi of Erie, PA was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the vehicle, Alaa Mohammad Al Zoubi, 20 of Erie, PA, was transported to UPMC Hamot via Mercy Flight for non-life threatening injuries, according to Troopers.

The incident is under investigation.
