Pennsylvania officials talk about the theme for Child Abuse Prevention Month

(WHTM)– April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and on Tuesday leaders from the Pennsylvania Commission On Crime and Delinquency toured the York Children’s Advocacy Center.

The center supports families impacted by child abuse and provides resources for the aftermath of trauma.

The theme this year for abuse prevention month?

“Doing things differently,” Executive Director for Pennsylvania Commission On Crime and Delinquency Mike Pennington said. “Moving from the challenge to the change. Doing things differently embodies the purpose of child advocacy centers and why they came to fruition.”
