Pennsylvania gas prices on the rise again

PENNSYLVANIA (WHTM) — Gas prices in Pennsylvania are on the rise yet again.

According to Gas Buddy, the average price of gas in the state is $3.47/g, which is up from the national average of $3.19/g. Experts said that gas prices are likely to increase every week starting in March, as the country transitions to the more expensive summer gasoline blend.

Around the Midstate, AAA has gas prices between $3.40/g in Juniata County, the lowest in the Midstate 3.55/g in Mifflin County, which is the highest price for a gallon of gas in our area.

In the Harrisburg region, the current average for a gallon of gas is $3.47. One year ago, the price was a bit higher at $3.74/g. Lancaster shows the same trend, with an average gas price of $3.49/g, with it being $3.75/g this time last year.

The highest ever recorded gas prices in many counties around Pennsylvania according to AAA was over $5 a gallon back in June of 2022.
