PennDOT announces start of Lebanon County traffic signal project

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — The Department of Transportation announced that a traffic signal project in Lebanon County is set to begin soon.

According to PennDOT, this traffic signal project is set to take place at the intersection of Route 72 and Isabel Drive in North Cornwall Township. Weather permitting, this project is slated to begin on Monday, May 13.

Initial work will include tree trimming, test borings, and the installation of erosion and sediment controls. PennDOT says that traffic shifts will be taking place during this project.

Altogether, this $1,260,211 project will consist of installing a new traffic signal, ADA ramps, updated drainage, and other miscellaneous construction from south of Isabel Drive to Tuck Street.

A 14-day closure of Isabel Drive is expected and will require a detour.

JVI Group, Inc. of York is the contractor for the project – work is expected to be completed by October 25, 2024.
