Penn State Children’s Hospital expanding pediatric intermediate care unit

(WHTM) — Some of the sickest children in the Midstate will now have a better chance of recovering.

That’s what those at Penn State Health say after an expansion to the pediatric intermediate care unit at Penn State Children’s Hospital. The unit has 14 new private beds.

“We promise to our community that we will be the hospital – if you have sick children, we’ll take care of them,” Professor and Chair for the Department of Pediatrics Dr. Yatin Vyas said. “We’ll provide the very best care that is possible in 2024. and this actually allows us to do so.”
