Penn State basketball’s Seth Lundy announces he plans to enter 2023 NBA Draft

Seth Lundy will give up his final year of eligibility and enter the 2023 NBA Draft, he announced on social media Wednesday.

He spent four seasons with the Penn State program, where he contributed 1,283 points, 560 rebounds and 229 3-pointers. The senior had his best season in 2022-23, with 14.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. His field goal and 3-point field goal percentages this past season were also career bests. Lundy’s 3-point percentage was second in the Big Ten and in the top 40 nationally.

Lundy thanked his family, coaches and teammates for their support throughout the years.

“Thank you to my teammates who made these four years unforgettable,” he said. “My time at Penn State has been nothing short of a blessing. I’ve cherished every moment and will always call this place home.”

Head coach Micah Shrewsberry, who is reportedly leaving Penn State for Notre Dame, praised Lundy in a release from Penn State Athletics.

“We are so proud of Seth and stand behind him every step of the way as he pursues his dream of becoming a professional basketball player,” Shrewsberry said. “Seth has the talent, work ethic and determination to succeed at the next level. He’ll always have a support system in myself and his Penn State family.”
