Pelicans’ Brandon Ingram to miss two weeks following knee injury

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Power forward for the New Orleans Pelicans, Brandon Ingram, will be out for the next two weeks due to a knee injury suffered during a game against the Orlando Magic.

Pelicans officials posted to X (Twitter) on Friday, March 22 that Ingram exited the game on Thursday, March 21 after he overextended his left knee during a third-quarter play.

He didn’t return to the game following the injury.

Ingram was taken for an MRI, which revealed he had a left knee bone contusion, according to Pelicans officials.

Team officials said Ingram will be re-evaluated in two weeks and that additional updates will come as more information becomes available.

“It’s extremely difficult to see him go down. Our prayers will be going up tonight. Hopefully, we get some good news back,” said Pelicans Head Coach Willia Green.

The Pelicans lost to Magic 121-106.

The New Orleans Pelicans are set to take on the Miami Heat in Miami on March 22.
