Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries after crash

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — At 10:38 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) was called to the scene of a traffic crash between an automobile and a pedestrian on South Circle Drive and Winnepeg Drive.

American Medical Response (AMR) and the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) were already on the scene, providing medical treatment to the pedestrian, who was then transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Major Crash Team was contacted and arrived on the scene to take over the investigation. The driver of the vehicle was cooperative and alcohol does not appear to be a factor, said CSPD.

We will continue to provide any updates on this crash, as they become available.
