Pedestrian struck and killed by car in Waterbury

Waterbury police are investigating after a man was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday morning, according to officials.

Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian that was struck by a motor vehicle around 10:09 a.m. on Saturday in the area of 836 East Main St. Police said the pedestrian, identified as an adult male, was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the vehicle that struck the man remained on scene and was not injured, according to police.
