Pedestrian struck and killed by car in Waterbury

Waterbury police are investigating after a man was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday morning, according to officials.

Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian that was struck by a motor vehicle around 10:09 a.m. on Saturday in the area of 836 East Main St. Police said the pedestrian, identified as an adult male, was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the vehicle that struck the man remained on scene and was not injured, according to police.

This accident is under investigation by the Waterbury Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit. If anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact CRU at 203-346-3975.

The letter, dated April 28, was written by Brigadier General Mohammad Baker, who serves as a director of Bangladesh’s National Telecommunications Monitoring Center, or NTMC, the country's electronic eavesdropping agency.
