Pedestrian struck in Barrhaven dead, police say

Ottawa police say a pedestrian struck by a vehicle Thursday evening in Barrhaven has died from their injuries.

Paramedics told CBC they were called to Strandherd and Longfields drives around 9:10 p.m., and transported a woman with life-threatening injuries to the hospital.

Ottawa police confirmed on Friday that the pedestrian has since died.

Police are asking for witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage of the incident to contact the fatal collision investigation unit at 613-236-1222 extension 2345.
