Pedestrian killed in crash on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard

SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard Friday morning, according to Hendersonville police.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Exit 3. Authorities later confirmed the pedestrian was identified as 60-year-old Kerry Ellis of Goodlettsville.

The roadway was blocked during the investigation and has since reopened to traffic. In a news release sent out Friday afternoon, officials said they were continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

No additional details were immediately released.
