Pedestrian killed in crash on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard

SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard Friday morning, according to Hendersonville police.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Exit 3. Authorities later confirmed the pedestrian was identified as 60-year-old Kerry Ellis of Goodlettsville.

The roadway was blocked during the investigation and has since reopened to traffic. In a news release sent out Friday afternoon, officials said they were continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

No additional details were immediately released.

Authorities are asking anyone with further information to contact the Hendersonville Police Department at 615-822-1111 or Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at 615-594-4113. Tips can also be submitted using the P3 Tips Mobile Application.
