Pedestrian killed after being struck by two vehicles in Elkridge

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by two vehicles Friday morning in Elkridge, according to Howard County Police.

Police said a woman was crossing the street and was struck first by a 1992 Ford Explorer headed northbound on Route 1 near Doctor Patel Drive around 5:57 a.m. A second, darker-colored vehicle also struck the woman.

The driver of the Ford Explorer remained at the scene, but the driver of the second vehicle left before police arrived, according to the news release.

The crash is under investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to contact 410-313-STOP.
