Peace Officers Memorial Week: How the Bakersfield Police Department are commemorating their own

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — This week is National Police Week. Law enforcement personnel throughout Kern County will come together Thursday to commemorate fallen police officers.

In 2023, nine police officers passed in the line of duty for the Bakersfield Police Department. Thursday’s ceremony focused around commemorating those efforts that put their life on the line for the city.
