Paul McCartney Snubbed Judd Apatow, Seinfeld-Style
Judd Apatow appeared on Conan and recalled an awkward moment when he was snubbed by Paul McCartney. McCartney had been in the audience at a few of Apatow’s standup shows. After one particular show, Apatow gathered up the courage to ask the iconic musician to lunch. He held out a pen and paper to get McCartney’s contact information, but when the Beatle saw them, he threw his hands up in the air, trying to avoid the situation.
Apatow proved he wasn’t exaggerating when he showed a photo in which a friend had caught the moment. McCartney’s hands were in the air as if he were frightened by the advance.
Another celebrity snub recently popped up as well. Jerry Seinfeld denied singer Kesha a hug on a red carpet, and the video went viral.
