Patti LaBelle to headline concert during Southern Heritage Classic Weekend

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Patti LaBelle is set to headline the Classic Concert during the Southern Heritage Classic’s three-day culture celebration in September.

Southern Heritage Classic to stay in Memphis through 2032

The R&B legend will perform on September 12 at the Orpheum Theatre. The festivities are set to begin at 8 p.m.

Fred Jones Jr., founder of the Southern Heritage Classic is anticipating LaBelle’s performance. “Patti Labelle is a name synonymous with excellence, and we are so proud to have her join our Classic Weekend. She continues to serve as an inspiration to millions of people, both young and old.”

Tickets will go on sale Friday, April 5 on Ticketmaster.

The 35th Classic will take place September 12-14.

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will take on Tennessee State University. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. on September 14 at the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

More events will be announced in the coming weeks, the Southern Heritage Classic said.
