Passing clouds for Mother’s Day; showers Monday morning

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- A few morning clouds for your Mother’s Day, but this afternoon we will see more sunshine for the end of the day. Temperatures will warm up quiet nicely into the low to mid 80s.

Scattered showers begin to move back into the forecast overnight by midnight. These will build in coverage and may be heavy at times for your Monday morning commute. A few stray storms can not be rules out either. Temperatures will be cooler tomorrow, only warming into the upper 70s.

We are WEATHER AWARE for a line of strong storms moving in late Monday night into Tuesday morning. This line has the potential for damaging winds, small hail, and flash flooding. With rainfall estimates between 2-5 inches, flash flooding remains our primary threat.

Wednesday and Thursday we get a break from the rain but the unsettled weather moves back into the forecast at the end of the week.
