Passenger dead after vehicle entrapment, rollover crash in Woodstock

MCHENRY COUNTY, Ill. — A passenger is dead after a single-vehicle rollover crash in Woodstock last week.

According to police, there were reports of the crash near Dean Street and Gayle Drive around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday May 15.

Man critically injured in gas station robbery and shooting on South Side

Firefighters arrived on the scene and found one victim trapped in the vehicle and a second receiving CPR from a bystander. Both victims were transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville by helicopter.

The passenger was pronounced dead and identified at 29-year-old Belen Estrada of Woodstock.

Preliminary investigation found that Estrada died from blunt force injuries suffered as a result of the crash.
