Parts of Memorial Parkway closed for repairs on Tuesday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Huntsville Utilities Water Operations will close the outside, southbound lane of the Memorial Parkway service road between Governors Drive and Bob Wallace Avenue for service line rerun work.

According to Huntsville Utilities, the repairs are set to start on Tuesday by 8:30 a.m. Officials say that the project is expected to last between four and six hours.

Huntsville Utilities are asking drivers to avoid this area if possible. Drivers traveling through this area are asked to do so with extreme caution as workers will be present.

If possible, travelers are asked to plan alternate routes to minimize any inconvenience. If alternate routes are not available, be prepared for shifting traffic patterns and possible delays.
