Parts of eastbound SR-94 near Spring Valley to close next week

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A stretch of eastbound State Route 94 will be closed for three nights next week, according to a release by Caltrans Friday.

Starting Sunday, Caltrans crews will be closing all lanes of eastbound SR-94 from Spring Street to Bancroft Drive due to paving, the agency said.

The closures are scheduled for Sunday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. as well as Monday and Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. For real-time traffic information, visit http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/.

For drivers needing to travel this route, there is a detour available.

People are asked to drive on northbound SR-125, exit at Grossmont Boulevard, head west to the southbound SR-125 onramp and then continue south to the Spring Street offramp. From there, drivers will need to continue south on Spring Street/Campo Road toward Bancroft Drive and then head south to the eastbound SR-94 onramp.

The road closures are subject to change due to weather, traffic incidents or other factors, Caltrans said.
