Route 65 reopens in Beaver County after crews clean downed trees, wires

UPDATE 9:15 p.m.

The Baden Volunteer Fire Department said Route 65 is now reponed in both directions.

Some restrictions are still in place.

Drivers heading south on Route 65 will not be able to turn onto Johnson Avenue. They will also be permitted to turn onto Route 65 from Johnson Avenue.

A traffic light was knocked down at Johnson Avenue and Route 65 intersection so drivers are asked to proceed with caution.

Part of Route 65 in Beaver County is closed.

PennDOT says the road has been shut down in both directions because of downed trees and wires.

The road is closed between Logan Lane in Baden and State Street in Economy.

Part of a Red Light also appeared to have fallen on the road.

Severe thunderstorms and strong winds have caused similar damage throughout the Western Pennsylvania area.
