UPDATE: I-74 reopens after emergency work in Vermilion Co.

Illinois State Police said part of I-74 in Vermilion County has now reopened as emergency work in the area has completed.
They advise motorists to remain vigilant as backed up traffic recovers.
TILTON, Ill. (WCIA) — Interstate 74 in Vermilion County will be closed temporarily as officials re-string powerlines.

The emergency work will last between 2 – 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, Illinois State Police said. The closure will be near exit 214, also known as the G Street Exit in Tilton.
ISP asks drivers to find alternate routes until 3 p.m. to avoid backups.
