Parking restrictions in place for Route 30 detour in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – The Route 30 East detour means more trucks will be headed through the Red Rose City, which is giving them more room to operate.

Parking is now prohibited in the 100 block of East Chestnut Street from North Duke to 114 East Chestnut as such.

Lancaster City Police say the move will help minimize traffic backups.

Any vehicles parked in that zone will be ticketed and towed.

The Route 30/Route 222 interchange is expected to be closed through Mother’s Day.
