Out-of-the-park savings for Nationals 2024 season

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Ahead of opening day on April 1, the Washington Nationals are out with new chances to save on games in 2024.

The team is taking a swing at several savings to draw fans to Navy Yard as the average expense for a family of four at the ballpark for a game is $140 this year, according to MoneyGeek.

The team’s website says DC residents can grab tickets for $5 to $25 on the left field upper deck: just visit the box office — purchases are limited to four tickets per game, with a maximum of four games.

The team also offers value days.

“It’s every Tuesday game where you’ll see discounts on our concessions on our tickets and on our parking,” said Ryan Bringerr, vice president of ticket sales & membership services for the Nationals.

The Nationals also say family fun packs are in the lineup: a game ticket, a hot dog, chips and a drink for $20. Plus, free kids meals return later this year for children 12 and under.

For young professionals between 21 and 39 years old, tickets start at $25 for most games and include $5 to $15 in concessions credit. The credit is also extended to government employees, including teachers, military members and first responders.

A 30% discount on ticket prices is also offered in the upfront costs for government workers, as well as for students and health care workers.

Bringerr says, “We have over 56 special ticket events. So, think of ‘night out,’ ‘ladies’ night,’ ‘college nights,’ ‘heritage nights.'”

Fans can consider ditching the car and taking the Metro to the Navy Yard station as garage and lot parking prices are often expensive.

Upcoming promotional day giveaways include a reversible Nats bucket hat on opening day, a 2019 World Series replica ring in May and bobbleheads, which will begin to roll out shortly thereafter.
