Paris man caught with 26 lbs of meth

PARIS, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man from Paris, Tennessee was arrested and charged after law enforcement found more than 26 pounds of crystal meth.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, their deputies made the arrest along with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office Thursday evening at a business in Murray, Kentucky.

They said detectives a large-scale meth dealer in the West Tennessee and Western Kentucky areas over the last several months. Investigators identified Trey Cowans, 29, as a suspect.

Deputies said they found him with more than 26 pounds of meth during the arrest and throughout the investigation and they believe the drugs were intended to be distributed in the community.

The Calloway-Marshall Drug Task Force, Special Agents with the DEA Paducah Post of Duty, and KSP DESI West all helped with the arrest. Cowan was charged with Trafficking Crystal Methamphetamine (2nd Offense) over 25 pounds.
