New paranormal investigation of Hotel Colorado!

GLENWOOD SPRINGS (KREX) — Hotel Colorado is famous for its long history and countless reports of paranormal activity. CCPI did a paranormal investigation in 2006, but now, decades later, a new team set out to try and capture proof of the alleged spirits…and our reporter Timber Schuman got to join.

Leslie Self started Self Paranormal over twenty years ago and has crews both in Colorado and Missouri. They trained with Jason and Grant from the popular tv show Ghost Hunters.

The group investigated from about 8 o clock on Friday, March 1st, till 5 in the morning. The first stop – the basement.

About half an hour in, Les pulled out a frank’s box, which is an AM-FM radio that constantly cycles through channels, making a constant static that Les says spirits can talk through.

Knowing the hotel served as a naval hospital during World War 2, the group asked if any military spirits were there, to which the frank’s box replied “army….PX.”

The group also got some responses in the attic…next to a very creepy chair.

One of the best results came from simple twist-on flashlights, first starting to turn on on the third floor with investigator Dean Wilfong.

Yet Dean tells me he can see more than what meets the regular eye because of his dance with death as a kid in the river…he tells Western Slope Now when he was seven years old, he got swept up underneath the current and drowned. He died for an hour and a half. Ever since then, he claims he can see spirits everywhere he goes, and he saw an older gentleman standing by the third-floor window.

The group set up the flashlights on the windowsill supposedly next to him, and for the first time in the night, the flashlights started going off.
