Paramount+ Lands ‘We Will Dance Again’ Documentary About Oct. 7 Hamas Terrorist Attack

Paramount+ has landed We Will Dance Again, a documentary about Hamas’ Oct. 7 terrorist attack at the Nova Music Festival.

The project from See It Now Studios features new interviews with more than a dozen survivors, who recorded their experience throughout the attack, and exclusive footage. The doc also includes eyewitness accounts from those survivors, as well as footage captured by other victims and Hamas.

“The human cost of what happened on October 7th in Israel, and the war in Gaza, has been catastrophic. We can’t tell everyone’s story. This film is about innocent young people, forced to fight for their survival,” Susan Zirinsky, president of See It Now Studios, said in a statement. “It is a painful story of unfathomable tragedy, and also of bravery, sacrifice and heroism.”

Yariv Mozer directed We Will Dance Again, which was originally announced the week after the attacks took place. His other credits include The Devil’s Confession: The Lost Eichmann Tapes and Ben Gurion: Epilogue, My First War.

“I have seen things in my life. I have lived through wars. I have fought in wars, and I have even filmed during a war,” Mozer said in a statement at the time. “But nothing prepared me for the harsh images I have seen in the remains of the massacre that took place at the Nova Music Festival. I see it as my duty as a documentary filmmaker to bring to the world the testimonies and horrific stories from the survivors of this slaughter. Young women and men whose only sin was their desire for music, and the passion to celebrate free love, spirit and freedom.”

Uncensored footage of the terrorist attacks previously screened in November at the Museum of Tolerance in West L.A. The project, Bearing Witness, featured 43 minutes of footage of acts committed by Hamas terrorists against Israeli citizens on Oct. 7.

We Will Dance Again is set to premiere sometime in the fall, likely tied to the first anniversary of the attacks that killed about 1,200 people and took roughly 250 hostages, leading to the Israel-Hamas war that still rages on. In an effort to destroy Hamas after the attacks, Israel launched an offensive attack in Gaza that has since killed more than 34,500 people, per the Associated Press, and continues to deploy troops to Rafah, where hundreds of thousands of Gazans are sheltering.

The ongoing war has led to countless pro-Israel and pro-Palestine protests across the United States and around the world. Most recently, pro-Palestine protests and encampments broke out at several university campuses, including UCLA, Columbia, Harvard, USC and more, as students urged their administrations to divest from companies that do business with Israel.
