Pansey man facing drug trafficking charges after home raid

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — A Pansey man is facing drug charges and a hefty bond after Houston County Sheriff’s investigators say they found a marijuana growing operation in his home.

On Friday, April 5, 62-year-old Jeffrey Carl Williams was arrested and charged with drug trafficking.

According to Houston County Sheriff’s spokesperson Major Bill Rafferty, William’s arrest came after deputies with the Houston and Henry County Sheriff’s Office and agents from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency raided his home in the 1300 block of Dock Lamb Road in Pansey.

Major Rafferty says during the raid, officers found a marijuana growing operation and recovered approximately 10 pounds of marijuana and 26 firearms.

Williams was booked on a $1.5 million bond in the Houston County Jail.
