Internet radio company Pandora Media names Herring as its CFO, succeeds Cakebread

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Internet radio company Pandora Media has named Michael Herring as its chief financial officer.

Herring succeeds the 61-year-old Steve Cakebread, who announced in August that he planned to leave the company by the end of the year.

Herring, 44, previously served as vice president of operations at Adobe Systems Inc. He also worked for Omniture Inc., serving in roles including executive vice president and CFO. Prior to that, Herring was CFO of MyFamily.com, which has since become Ancestry.com.

Shares of Pandora Media Inc., based in Oakland, Calif., closed at $11.42 on Monday.
