Panama City Beach identify 53-year-old woman found May 1 in woods near Saltwater Grill

PANAMA CITY BEACH — Local law enforcement officials have identified one of the two bodies found in wooded areas earlier this month.

According to a news release from the Panama City Beach Police Department, the body found May 1 in a wooded area near Saltwater Grill has been identified as 53-year-old Amy Green.

"As of now, the cause of death has yet to be determined," the release reads. "We urge anyone with any information related to this incident to come forward."

This was one of two dead bodies found in Panama City Beach within about a week. The other, which has not been identified, was found May 6 in a wooded area near Wild Heron, a neighborhood on the west end of the city.

Officials have said they do not think the two deaths are connected.

More information on the incidents will be released as it becomes available.
