Pakistan: Car bombing kills 13 in northwest

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistani police say a car bomb has exploded outside an office of pro-government tribal elders in the country's northwestern, killing 13 people.

Police official Naeem Khan says at least another 25 people were wounded in Saturday's attack in the town of Darra Adam Khel in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

He says the dead and wounded were being transported to hospitals in the northwestern city of Peshawar.

No group claimed responsibility, but Pakistani Taliban militants have staged such attacks in Darra Adam Khel in the past.
