Painesville Township resident named Lake County grand jury foreperson

Mar. 8—Lake County Common Pleas Judge John P. O'Donnell has appointed Painesville Township resident Carolyn Rigo as grand jury foreperson for a three-month term commencing in April.

According to a news release from O'Donnell's office, Rigo is the owner of Interiors by Carolyn Rigo and is an interior designer known for her professionalism and creative vision. Her main goal when approaching design projects is to create beautiful, timeless spaces that her clients will love and enjoy with their family and friends.

The grand jury, consisting of nine members and five alternates, meets weekly. Additional meetings may be scheduled, depending on the level of alleged criminal activity in the county.

Throughout the three-month term, the grand jury hears cases and decides whether the accused should be placed on trial for alleged criminal offenses which are usually serious crimes called felonies.
