Paget Brewster to Return to ‘Criminal Minds’
Paget Brewster is returning to “Criminal Minds” for multiple recurring episodes in Season 12, CBS announced Thursday.
The actress, who originated the role of Emily Prentiss in Season 1 and was promoted to series regular in Season 2, left the show full time after Season 7.
Brewster’s Prentiss is back with the BAU this time when they need her most, with the escape of 13 serial killers.

“We’re excited to have Paget Brewster back for multiple episodes in our 12th season,” said showrunner Erica Messer in a statement. “The BAU can use more help this year since they’ve got a lot of known and unknown subjects to catch.”
Brewster most recently starred on Yahoo’s “Community” and Fox’s “Grandfathered.”
