At its meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, the Owensboro City Commission will consider the following:

• Recognized the retirements of officer Joshua Alsip and officer Allen Schrecker of the Owensboro Police Department.

• Proclaim “Emergency Medical Services Week.”

• Receive a presentation on the “Amped Up Artistry” project from the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce Chamber Young Professionals.

• Receive a presentation about the proposed renovation of English Park.

• Hold first reading of the 2024-24 city budget ordinance.

• Hold first reading of an ordinance amending the 2023-24 city budget to appropriate funds for the Senior Community Center facility, and to the RiverPark Center.

• Hold first reading of an ordinance entitled “Establishing the compensation of city employees and non-elected city officials in accordance with a personnel and pay classification plan, as required by KRS 83A.070.”

• Consider the April financial report.

• Consider new hires and promotions.
